Welcome to

Grace in the Desert

An Oasis for the Soul

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God, not a result of works so that no one may boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

No matter where you are in your faith walk, please join us. If you are new to your faith, please come and grow with us. If you are already well along in your faith journey, please join us as we are the hands, feet, and face of Jesus in the community and the world. And if you have lost your way, please join us to find your way back to a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus.

Grace in the Desert does all that is humanly possible to live into the Grace that has been so freely given to us by our Heavenly Father through His Son Jesus and the working of the Holy Spirit.  We believe that we are to spread that Grace to the entire world, no matter who, what, when or where God calls us to do so.

We are a new church -- and small right now -- and are looking to partner with other like-hearted people who want to spread Love and Peace to a hurting world through our presence in the community we serve. We believe that, no matter our size, we can be mighty in our service to those who need what we have to offer -- the Love and Grace and Peace of Jesus.

Upcoming Events

Along with everyone else in the United States and the World, we continue to deal with the impacts of the corona virus. We pray with and for those who are impacted and those who are on the front lines of this pandemic. In addition, we are also dealing with a divided nation -- it saddens me that we are not able to come together during this time and do what is right for each other and for our nation. This is not what God has in mind for us -- He wants us to love everyone, just like He does. He doesn't want us to disagree based on political, ethnic, religious, or racial lines. He wants us to embrace the diversity that He has provided in our nation and our world and use it to make things better. It is so important right now that we gather as one in this nation and in the world -- and that we gather around the One who can bring us comfort, strength, and peace in very uncertain times. Generally, that would be through worship. In light of this pandemic, we are unable to worship with our usual crowd on Sunday mornings. However, we are not going to let Satan win -- he will not stop us from hearing the Word of God -- so we will continue to provide worship opportunity via Facebook Live. While our music license does not allow us to livestream music, we will be doing everything but the music moving forward. During the month of November, we will be experiencing many special services. On November 1, the first Sunday of November, we will be celebrating All Saints' Day -- a day when we remember those who have gone before us -- with a service entitled "Saints Alive!" November 8 and 15 will bring us to a basic review of the Sacraments -- Baptism and Holy Communion. November 22 is Christ the King Sunday -- the last Sunday of the Church Year -- and we will take a trip through the Church Year as we celebrate the presence of Jesus in our lives throughout each and every year. November 25 will be a Thanksgiving Eve service where we will experience "Living Thanks." Finally, November 29 will be our first Advent service. Our Advent series this year is "God With Us" -- a very timely topic as we, through this series, experience our Immanuel.

Help Those In Need

“And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need."
At Grace in the Desert, we believe it is important to not only take care of our own, but to take care of those in the community. The monies we collect are used to support our needs as a congregation and to support those ministries to the marginalized that we feel are important.  Please see our "Give" page for more information.
